Sikles Trek

Sikles, the second largest Gurung village in Nepal after Bhujung of Lamjung, is a beautiful tourism destination in Kaski district. Standing on 2,000m high hillock, it offers majestic panoramic views of the mountains which have been attracting both domestic/ international tourists.

Sikles trek is one of the most admired treks that lie in Annapurna region of Nepal. In the early 80s, The British Prince Charles himself, along with his other companion also visited this region to explore the natural and cultural assets of Sikles village. Recognized as Royal trek, it truly holds all the typical culture, tradition, rites and rituals of Gurung Community together with stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Lamjung Himal and Mt. Trek to Sickles is an easy drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara, there are two preferred ways to reach Sickles village. The foremost is the hike to Sickles village which starts from Lama chaur, Pokhara. It takes three days to reach the destination via Lama Chaur to Ghale Kharka to Sickles to Bhaisi Kharka, Diprang village following the circuit through Ghale Kharka to arrive back in Pokhara.

Another alternative can be a drive to Sikles Village after the arrival in Pokhara. Only then you will start your trek to Sikles to Huwu village. The trek will last for 3 days which passes through terraced fields, rhododendron forest, waterfalls, high alpine and the remote village within the giants of Annapurna II (7937 m) and Annapurna IV (7525 m).
