Begnas Lake ( Begnas Tal)

Begnas Lake is a freshwater lake located in the south-east of Pokhara Valley, Kaski. The lake is third largest lake of Nepal and second largest lake among eight lakes in Pokhara Valley. The water level of this lake is regulated through a dam on the outlet stream of Khudi Khola constructed in 1998. The area of lake consists of number of resorts with many swampy areas around it, and is a popular destination for the people visiting Pokhara. Mostly, the water of lake is used for irrigation and some part of lake is utilized for caged fisheries.
