Mundum Village

Mundum Village is a newly opened (in 2018) trekking trail of cultural walking following the way through the peaceful mountains in the eastern part of Nepal. Mundhum is the religious sculpture of Kirat people living in this region and this holy book guides their social and cultural life. Mundum trek offers to experience Kirati people culture with their values with of course wonders of nature and the mountains. This Mundum cultural trek goes upward towards the elevation of 4,200 meters from sea level leading you to the viewpoint of Silchung Peak. The journey towards this youngest official trekking destination or culturally important village can be started from Diktel near Halesi temple. From Diktel Bazar (1,650 meters), the trail passes through Chalkhewa Village (2,300 meters), Dhotre (2,752 meters), Maiyung (3,122 meters), Rawadhap (3,426 meters), Salpa Bhanjhyang (3,348 meters), Silchung Hill (4,200 meters), Hyakule (2,972 meters), Hanspokhari (2,962 meters) and finally to Bhojpur (1,600 meters). One of the rarest explorations you can make in this trip is you can see seven high mountains of the world above 8,000 meters from Shisapangama (located in China) to Kanchenjunga peak continuously.
