Lobuche (East) Peak is one of the popular climbing peaks at the elevation of 6,119 meters above sea level lying in Khumbu Region of Nepal. The peak was firstly climbed in 1984 by Laurence Nelson and Ang Gyalzen. Although Lobuche East Peak Climbing is more challenging than Island Peak Climbing, they are equally rewarding in the level of adventure, views, and sceneries. As per the fact of peak lying close to Khumbu Glacier, this peak climbing journey is combined with Everest Base Camp trek along with Kala Pattar, which is most popular for amazing views of Mt. Everest and many other high peaks. Lobuche East Peak is one of the ‘B’ graded climbing peak by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).

Trekking Route
Lobuche (East) Peak Climbing journey starts with a scenic flight to Lukla, as usual in Khumbu Region of Nepal. From Lukla, you can start your trek to Lobuche peak. The trekking trail from Lukla Valley follows the way passing through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, Everest Base Camp (hike), Gorak Shep again, Kala Pattar, back to Lobuche, Lobuche High Camp and finally to the summit of the peak at the altitude of 6,119 meters above sea level. The trekking trail then descends to High Camp of the peak, Pangboche, Namche Bazaar and finally back to Lukla. From Lukla airport, a scenic flight will take you back to Kathmandu valley.
Best Season
Nevertheless, the best season to climb this peak is spring (April and May) and autumn (October and November).
