    Tistung Deurali is a VDC in Makwanpur district of central Nepal. Deurali refers to the resting place as this place used to be the resting place when Tribhuwan Highway was the only road to the capital city of Nepal i.e. Kathmandu valley. Many buses used to stop here for lunch, rest which used to feature pure Nepali food like Daal, Bhat, Tarkari, Achar, etc. for the travelers. Beside the fact of the previous time, the place is equally famous in today’s day too. Bajrabarahi festival (festival of Tantric goddess) is held in this beautiful place once in every three years on Saturday of the full moon on May (according to Nepali Calendar, Chandi Purnima). Similarly, one of the great festivals, Bajrabarahi ko Naach (Dance of Bajrabarahi), is held in Tistung village once in every 12 years whose major purpose is to create a new Dhami whose duty will be to conduct religious affairs to the village.

     

     

    Making Tistung Deurali as a part of your destination offers various exploration in your life. To reach to this beautiful village, you can take the traditional route as many vehicles are available to reach Hetauda from Kathmandu valley. The old Tribhuvan Highway carries onwards and upwards through dipping valleys and high hills to Tistung and her sister villages, before sloping down gently from Lamidanda to Bhainse and Hetauda. On the way, you can experience various attractions as the way follows the hill area to plain Terai such as Botanical landscapes along with the changes in altitude, pine trees, beautiful and colorful rhododendron forest, jungle, and terraced fields and many more naturally created types of scenery.

     

    Moreover, the trip from Kathmandu valley to Tistung Deurali ride gives the best way of enjoying and showing your riding capability and ability. The route or road is found to be wonderful for the adventurous seekers to try out their road riding skills (especially adventurous in the bike). The ‘Naughumti’ is the best a series for the highest point of adventure in riding just about one hour and a half before reaching Tistung.
